Its a bit unnerving as you wonder what on earth it is,,,but in reality it is very likely to be your clutch, the clutch is like two plates with a lining on and over time they wear and start slipping, so the power from your engine is lost...what can you do..well its a medium price job...and a garage is best to have it done in....and it should be quite quickly sorted...worrying prob but quite commonplace

Sounds like the clutch is slipping. You can check by feeding the clutch out slowly with the handbrake on. If the car doesn't ride up against the brakes and want to stall then its definitely slipping.

Sound like your clutch is slipping.People laugh at skodas,I'm not sure why they are a good car,i have a skoda fabia the best car i have ever had,touch wood.

LAUGHTER is the superb drugs to the health. i'm operating a laughter club in our section.. I agree this is a man made giggle. yet even as people assemble jointly and commence guffawing, the guy made giggle will grow to be organic hearty giggle, when we see different faces guffawing. fairly that's an rather good for health with a touch yoga and excersize blanketed.

clutch gone to test apply handbrake put in gear and try to drive off if you dont stall your engine its def clutch
