Online businesses typically do not require to be licensed. Florida does not require online businesses to get a license. But you need your business to be registered (business registration is different from business license).

I suggest you go to your city/county clerk office and check their guidelines for starting a business. Check with the City of Orlando website, especially their assistance programs such as the Minority/Women Entrepreneur Business Assistance Program (MEBA) http://cityoforlando.net/economic/business/MEBA_Program.htm and other incentive programs

You need an EIN number. Its called Tax Id number. ITS FREE. many firms on the net will charge u. Just type in EIN number on the search engine and tons of sites will come up. Look for the one that ends in .gov when it ends in .gov its a government site. there you will be able to apply for it for free. thats it you need nothing else. UNLESS you are selling to florida customers where they have to pay sales tax, for that you need to get a merchant certificate. I dont live in florida but call your city and they will let u know.

i'm interior the same procedure and counting on your city's regulations you would possibly want to favor a let. I had to get a city sellers let, even although my company is on-line to boot, a fictitious call license because I used a attractiveness except my own, a EIN, and a sellers tax variety. attempt calling your city first they must be extraordinarily efficient. desire that helps.

Most people start without one. You can go to city hall and get a dba for around $100.
