It is not really as safe for men to smile. It also has to do with the expectations put upon us by society. We have to protect ourselves, our family, and we want people to know from the start not to think of taking advantage of us. I guess that last one applies to women too.

I'd say it's definitely true that some women smile more than some men, some of the time. Usually because they experience something that makes them feel happy!

i smile alot so in this case...yep...i smile more than most men (and women)...the passport office rejected my photo cos i was smiling...just a little bit...they do not want happy people about....lol...x

men tend to smile and joke around more if they are in a safe place ... a place they can trust everyone else around them
to smile is somethimes to put ur guard down

perhaps that is yopur experience.my guess would be that women smile more when in the company of momen

I think on a whole us ladies smile more - but that's because we know something men don't.......

I think so. One of the reasons is that we are often taught to be pleasers and peacemakers. Smiling makes us look less threatening and more approachable.

I've noticed that people that smile alot are usually up to no good.
