I have never had one, but I think every American should try some just to gain an insight of what our soldiers have to go through. I don't know of anywhere you can get any of those things, though. I assume they come in different flavors. Probably are a lot better than the old rations from WW2.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Yes, they's ok... I was in the 82nd Airborne Divison for 3 years... MRE's aren't anything to get excited about... But when you have to have them, always try to go for Chicken and Noodles or Spaghetti and Meat Sauce.... Those are my favorites... But I also like the Jalapeno Cheese and Vegetable Crackers too...
But here's what I don't get---why all these people answered that have never even tried them... That's stupid!!!

For those people that don't know what an MRE is...
"Meals Rejected by Ethiopians"
I always liked the dried fruit...
Looking back, its funny ... mre's are proof that a human will eat anything if they get hungry enough!

I hate MRE's. One FTX I tried to make it the whole time eating nothing but the crackers and bread. The ruck march back was the worst thing ever, so freaking dizzy.

I used to love MRE's when I was kid. My favorite was the spaghetti. My dad would bring them home to me and I thought they were the coolest thing in the world. I even tried to take for lunch but my mom wouldn't let me!
Now, I don't like them anymore. They are gross. But, my daughter & son love them.
