It would circulate the cold air already blowing into the room. If you have a large, high-capacity fan, chances are you'll even make the room colder.

Turn em both on, its going to help cool the room down faster. The fan will keep the cold air from the AC moving around the room.

Switch on the fan to cool the room fast to get cool air, after sometime, enjoy cool air and switch off the fan and your aircon will do the job. Close all windows and doors and curtains should be over the doors and windows to get good cooling

Yes it will circulate the cool around the floor up to where the warm air is and keep the house cooler in summer and warmer in winter (cold days) of course you must change the rotation direction of the fan. Blowing down in summer--- to push the cooler air on the floor up towards the ceiling and and blowing up in winter to push the warmer air on the ceiling down toward the floor where the air is cooler to make the room more comfortable.

a fan on low helps keep the cool air moving. Doesn't cost much to run. good idea. I keep ceiling fans on all year long on low.
