Let it Stand by if you decide not to turn it off. I guess you can also leave it on when u use it most and turn it off perhaps at nights when u sleep or something.

If you are concerned with the power issue, turn it off at night. Perhaps you should check the power options in the Display Properties in the control panel or by right clicking on a blank area on your desktop and select "properties", then tic the screen saver tab and tic the "power" button at the bottom of the page. You have options there like "hibernate", "standby", and various other settings to suit your needs. Set it up the way you want and tic the "Apply" and then the "OK" button to lock your settings in.

on the expert said every time you turn on or off your pc will damage your hard drive due to the high speed read and write, but on the economy said if turn on all the time will cost a lot for the power bill. see how you think of it!!!
