The Qu'ran and Hadiths. But still not that much info, it has
info how they are made and what they can do. There are God and
Bad Jinns like Humans. oh yeh, Jinns are well really spirits, but yes they can take in other forms. Yes , both Jinns and Humans can be called Sayatan (english for Satan), because they can be bad. Angels don't have a free will and they do not complane neither.
For Angels only serve and listen to the God aka Allah. And Also God said that he gave Humans and Jinns free will. but there are well only 2 powerfull, evil Jinns (Saytians) There is Iblis, that Jinn that refused to bow down to Adam, the first human. And the Anti-Christ, Dajjal, he has very unimangable powers and will do things that will break our physical laws. He will try to convert many people to his side and call him God. While Isha peace be upon him (Jesus) will be coming around the same time to save the people and Imam Al Mahdi will be in front of the prophet Isha to fight this evil being. Jinns are pretty scary when the posse people warning, very scary stuff. Oh eyah Prophet Sulayman (Solomon) is said to have Jinns working for him and he had to power to contain them in objects as well, so this is not just Islamic times, it's been there science Judaism.

The way that the Jinn are defined in the Islamic tradition differs from the way they used to be defined before. If you look at old magical texts such as those attributed to King Solomon, such as the Grand Grimoire and Grimorium Verum, and such as the Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses you will see them described as "Demons." Then if you look at more "modern" texts from the Seventh Century onwards (after the rise of Islam) such as (pardon the transliterations) Shams al-Ma'arif al-Kubraa and Manba' Usool al-Hikma, you will see that the Demons of Solomon have been relabeled Jinn in order to permit for the existence of non-god-like entities in accordance with Islam.
