Burning sandalwood or mosquito coils are cheap and effective, roll on tropical strength aerogard is the best product I know of you can also try tea tree oil. the was a fogger spray for outdoors which gave some relief I think its a combination of all three for maximum effect.

I hate flies!!!!! Try the spray that Avon offers. Smells great and keeps the pest away. Mosquito's are horrible. I use a electric bug light and it keeps the pest away in my back yard. I also remove any and all standing water that they can breed and raise young. Good luck to you!

take garlic pills (not odourless!) every day. Because the garlic
smell will sit in your skin and take the sweet blood smell away the mosquitos and other insects won't come near you.
Especially when touring Australia twice I never got bitten once!

In Scotland we use a skin care product called Avon Skin so Soft. It's for girls but it keeps the midges away nae bother. Even the army use it. Doin't know about other countries' flies though.....worth a try I think.

Citronella is trusty. If you live somewhere near some east Indians, they might have a repellent. Theirs is spectacular. I used it in India. I forgot what it is called but it is lemon-colored and smells like .... citronella!

To keep them away from your body, take a dryer sheet and put it in your back pocket. Believe it or not, it does seem to work.
