Which is better, an iMac or a Mac Mini?

The iMac would be a 20", and the Mac Mini would be the lower end one.

I would be using for music/photo/video editing using the programs that come on them.

Better for what purpose?

Without knowing what you are going to use it for I am going to make an assumption and therefore choose the iMac (the 20" is a super sweet but of kit).

However in some cases (like setting up a lounge room system) the Mini is the right choice.

The iMac because it uses the faster Core2Duo processor,and, the monitor is included as well as the keyboard.
