Thats quite normal where I live at, As a cold from approaches it draws very humid, very warm air up cause thunderstorms and some tornadoes that will last about a day, as soon as the front passes, it does 80F to 20F within 48 hours and sometimes even less. The water from the thunderstorms freeze up on the road and salt has no use cause it gets washed away from the rain before. Then like a couple hourse after the water freeze ( temps get down to about 10F at night ) it will warm back up ironically within 48 hours to like 50 degrees, then we get rain. Doesn't snow much cause the precip is always out of the cold snaps. But yes, It is somewhat common where I live where 75 would be the night low and the day time at noon will fall to 30F.

Love Charleston. Lets have a picnic at White Point Gardens bandstand. Now, back to the weather. Missouri native Mark Twain once said, "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute." He was talking about Hartford, Conn. but he should have been used to it. KC Thursday 60+ degrees. Today, snowed in (ok it is sleet, but some places reported 3 inches of the stuff!) I'll take Charleston. . .can I help rip??

I'm from Austin, TX. 24 hours ago there was sunshine and it was 75 degrees. Right now it's 39 degrees and there are thunderstorms, but in another 24 hours, it's gonna be in the upper 20s and sleeting/snowing/freezing rain. However, this is not unusual for Texas. As the saying goes: "If you don't like the weather just wait a little while."

We had snow on Christmas day... one of those pretty, cliche but pleasant events that happens just at the right time; except this is Melbourne, Australia; it is and was the middle of summer and this is the worst bushfire season we've had in the past 20 years.
It was up to 40 degrees celcius two days before and two days after (over 100 farenheit.)

I'm starting to wish we had some global warming around here. It's total deep-freeze where I'm living, the first one of the year. (I'm somewhere in Canada. Guess the city and you could win a free box of Tic-Tacs.)

Well, the other day we finally got snow (low of 28), and now it's raining and in the 50's (AM). Probably global climate change.

I think you typo'ed, did you mean FOUR hours?
In Colorado, we see that much fluctuation -- and more -- on a regular basis.
I've shoveled snow in the morning and by lunch am out jogging in shorts and a t-shirt.
