Try to get her to open up and tell you what exactly is bothering her. Sometimes people have a hard time expressing what the real problem is. I know because I am one of those people. Sometimes people clam up because they are afraid that people will think they are weak or they will think they are making a big deal out of "nothing" and sometimes it is because they don't to burden others with their problems or that it is just too painful to discuss. Let her know that you are truly concerned and really want to help her. If that does not work suggest that she talk to a counselor or therapist. Sometimes it could also be depression, The person knows that they feel really sad but can't figure out why and that is where you get the "nothing and everything" feelings. If this is the case she should talk to a professional, It really can help.

You have to be a good listener and let her open up to you.The first way to heal psychologically is talking. Then advise her to get involved in physical activities and yoga activities. She can even start a diary to vent her anger or whatever she has bottled up in her system

tell her you are always there ready to listen. sometimes, girls just need a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to to release emotions.remind her that she can trust you with anything. you may not be able to solve her problem but a listening ear is enough to lessen the burden . =)

Distract her from herself. Take her to a "chick flick" so she can cry it all out without having to talk about it.

Don't at all push her to tell you what is wrong. Just comfort her, and if she wants to she will tell you.
