It is said that left-handed people have a lower life expectancy than right-handed people because the world is geared to accomodate righties. For instance, the stick-shift is always on the right, we drive on the right (in America), etc. Some studies have also shown that left-handed people are also more likely to be artistic, because they tend to be right-brain dominated, which pre-disposes them to creativity.

Im lefthanded myself and pretty much the only thought on this that Ive heard was that lefties are more creative and artistic, just as a prev poster has said.
Lower life expectancy? Never heard that one...and I cant imagine why. I drive a stick shift just fine. Oddly, I kick with my right foot.

Yes! Right-handed people use the left side of their brain most of the time, left-handed people use the right side of their brain mostly, and ambidextrous people use both.
