Nervousness is the worst thing for stage presence. It contracts your muscles, and makes it harder to nail those high notes. Your voice wavers, and in extreme cases your hands shake, your knees knock, you sweat, and you get sick to your stomach. I know this, because I used to suffer. It may sounds nuts, but you've got to convince yourself that nervousness is not an issue. Walk into an audition with a powerful stride, a big smile, shoulders squared off, and the absolute conviction that you don't care if you make a fool of yourself. Only when your become fearless will you get the results you need.

So do your research well before the audition. On the day of the audition do relaxation exercises, have a friend give you a massage, pray, meditate, drink green tea, or go somewhere and yell---do whatever it takes to get you in that relaxed and confident frame of mind. You can do it.

Your mind can really help you.
Imagine yourself walking off the stage, having just sung the best you ever have in your life.

Does that feel like you're fooling yourself?
But aren't you doing just that when you keep imagining the worst that could happen?
Constantly give yourself the image of a great performance.

Thinking about technique is counter-productive in the middle of a performance.
Far more helpful is to imagine you're singing to someone who really loves you.
Tell them the story of the song, and mean every word you sing.

Just keep putting that good, totally successful image in your mind.
I had problems with nerves when I was younger. But I've used this method and performed to thousands.
It really helps.

Good luck with the audition!

Practice singing right now at home before going to stage. To solve nervousness, take a little shot of beer or wine. By the way i can feel what u feel now. Just relax and take it easy. Think that u can do it. Best wishes to u.

i know that song so i know why your kindda nervous,
just do these simple actions inhale and exhale slowly then consentrate the words of the song `more than hope more than faith........` relax and sing the words in your head after doing that, you should practice right away, sing in front of ur friend (if u have the time) or your family, ask them to think of your part, sing with a brother so you can visualize the duet!!!!!!!!!!!
do these and you will surely be confident later>>>>>>>>>>>>>

gud luck!!!!!!!
