I'd make a simple mold, by using a surface and pillars sticking put of it, and then wrap the wire around the mold to achieve a perfect paper clip every time; and quickly, as well...

frankly i would take 1 home and in a locked room examine it thenbuy a few thousand feet of wire and with plyers and snips bend them into the same shape untill i had enough to sell on the black market so as not to draw attention and get screwed for copyright infringement and stealing corperate secrets
