I have heard some people say to put vinegar in the rinse water when washing them, but I was given some baby clothes for my son that had been stored with moth balls and I washed them about 10 times with vinegar, bleach, fabric softener...all kinds of products and nothing took the smell out. I ended up having to throw them away.
