i read somewhere that this show is actually a rip off of an indian show called "jassi jaisi koi nahi "
it says that the indian show had this girl who wears braces looks well not beautiful but is very intelligent and a good person at heart
and the story goes on about how she transforms herself inot a sexy model

I think we should all sue the Producers of Ugly Betty because they promote absolute hate against kids wearing braces. This is a despicable concept and presentation in a world full of terrorists. Braces in and of themselves do not make someone ugly - yet that is the idea being forced upon kids today and most every kid will have to wear braces at some point. Talk about stress and Traumatic stress disorder. They are forcing kids that have to get braces to commit suicide or be ostracized as ugly and unwanted. This show should be sued. Braces are not ugly.

She was on Regis and Kelly the other day. There's I guess about 5-10 other countries with their own version of the show. The girls basically all have braces and ponytails.
