police officer? I'm naturally petite but would I have trouble in the police force if I was this small?

no i have a friend and shes only about five foot. give it a try you might be suprised. they'll teach you how to look after yourself and keep out of danger.your collegues wiil also be looking out for you as you go out into the wild world.

I seem to recall a recent news article about a lady who took her local force to court saying they wouldn't admit her because she was so small (4'9" or so) and she won. Don't think there's any height restrictions, but phone your local station and ask. And as regards to the question about trouble-we all face potentiol trouble everyday so that shouldn't stop you. What important is your confident to handle a situation regardless you are petite or not. Increase your confidence by wearing the uniform and look in the mirror and say you are confident in handling all type of situations when I am wearing the uniform.

If you can show them you've got what it takes to be a police officer, then you might convince them to take you on. If they don't take you on, you can appeal, citing discrimination. Good luck.
