My father died last week and I had a horrible day yesterday. When I went to bed I had a very vivid drem where my dad was in a grave and was trying to scare me with a big striped spider. But at the end of the dream when the spider finally landed on me it turned into a beautiful butterfly. What is my mind trying to tell me?

I am so sorry for the loss of your Father. Hugs to you and your family.

I had a lady tell me that You are every part of the dream. You are your Dad, and you are the spider, you are the fear, and you are the spider. You have to ask why you were afraid of the spider touching you. It is an interesting perspective when you actually think about it.

I thought about my weird dream and I learned about myself.

In yours perhaps, it means even though you are scared without your father being there, you would be ok without your father, that he taught you to be the beautiful woman you are.

I think this is a way of telling yourself that although your father's death was horrible, life will go on and you will know happiness again. Everything has a meaning. Just as a flower dies, others will grow in it's place in the spring. Your father gave you life, it was his gift to you, just as were your memories of him and the times spent in his care and presence. The butterfly is your father, he is telling you that death is not so horrible, and wants to comfort you. The butterfly is the product of metamorphosis, where a catterpillar sheds its former self to become something even more beautiful. This is the process we might all take from human to angelic being--true?

well the death of your father was a scary situation for you. and the spider being ugly represents that fear the fact that it landed on you says you are the one being scared, but the butterfly goes through alot of change to become the butterfly and that means you will in time go through changes and also learn something life changing from this experience

Please research "lucid dreams." Anyone who tells you they know what your dream means is a con. They're stating they know what thoughts you were experiencing at the time your brain manifested these thoughts into your dream.
By lucid dreaming, you will be able to use the rational part of your mind. You will be "awake" while dreaming. This will enable you, and only you, to see how thoughts manifest themselves as objects, people, figures, symbols, etc within your dream.
Dreaming is a way the brain keeps you occupied while it refreshes itself. No one can decipher your dream unless they really really know you (who knows you better than yourself?).

I thik it means that life is scary sometimes but you have to look at the bright side, like in the fairy tales. All will come out all right.

It also my mean that nothing is a scary as it seems.

Oh and you mind can't tell you stuff, that is your inner spirit.

I think it means this:

You're scared because your dad died and you're worried that your life is going to be horrible without him around. Your life is going to be just fine and don't worry about your dad, he's in heaven in a good place.

=)

First. I am very sorry for your dad's passing.

Second. Be happy. You feared your father's teachings, and what he gave you seemed to you as wrong, but in the end you discovered on your own it was good.

you are dealing with your feelings in your dreams. I was told once the more vivid and intense your dreams are when you are dealing with a bad situation the better you are actually dealing with your feelings seems backwards but i guess we get the feelings out in dreams that we cant deal with during our wake.
