I have a platy that I got a couple months ago. I think she might be pregnant but I'm not sure. There is a picture.

I have two platies the other one is a little yellow one. I don't know if it is male or female but it always follows the red one around.

Platies like to breed if she has a redish color on her belly that means she is pregnant. Try to buy her an isolation tank (I rly dont know wat theyr called) and put her in it. DONT take her to the petstore this might be to stressfull for her. Ask some1 in the fish store where you can find a breeding tank. And do this quickly if she has the baibies the other fish will eat them if they are not in the seperating tank.

How long has she been like this? If it was just sudden belly swelling up it could be internal parasites, but then again, my swordtail(kind of platy) are real young so I havent dealt with a fish giving birth yet, exept for one guppy I had died last week and we cant figure out if it was internal parasites or died giving birth

put the fish in a bag and take them to the pet store they will tell you and then if she is ask about the thing that separets the babies from everything else in the tank
