Compaq...good price, smaller screen. it is easier to travel with. plus you have the burner and more hard drive. i just got a 15" and i wish i would have gotten something smaller.

hey potz, i think u shud go for the compaq, wats really bad abt the compaq though is that they r givin a free dos, which is useless, but then thats ok, coz u can format the dos n install ny windows OS that u want, but then ask the dealer if the guarantee wud becomwe void in such a case n if he says "yes" just negotiate, they wud do it for free,
Aspire too seems to be good, but then i doubt if linux is of ny use to u, more over on the features front its doesnt seem that great, aspires givin u integrated wireless lan, but m sure thats not gonna be of ny use to u, coz i doubt if u ever get to use that feature..

so of the 2 options that u have given i wud strongly suggest Compaq
Also, let me say If u can shell out some more money, HP wud be the best laptop to buy.
but then out of the 2laptops that u have shorlisted for urself compaq is the best buy, so go for it dude....

in reality searching on the Specification i ought to elect for computer kind one. motives The stressful pressure is better, sturdy make of image card, that is the important cutting-facet-day so that you though be use it nicely into the subsequent 5+ years, not confident concerning the over-clocking function yet in a large number of situations duel/quad run as 2 or 4 CPU each and each and each and each operating at 2.27Mhz

I like the the 2nd one as it has the dvd burner, and media reader, bluetooth and wifi. The screen is a little but smaller but you will barely notice it.

I would go with the compaq. More features. Also, it's smaller-- if portability is important to you, carrying around a laptop with a 15.4" screen is not fun.
