I have a friend at work who likes to be nosey about my personal life with a guy friend. He is my ex but she constantly says hes my boyfriend when he's not. Assumes that me and this guy are still sleeping together and makes a point of telling other people at work this. When i tell her i dont want it spoken to everyone because we are not in a relationship. She just clammed up and ignored me for the rest of the day! What kind of friend is that? And what if anything can i do about it?

If your friend keeps doing this, then why are you telling her anything??? I wouldn't even talk to her....

Tell her you don't appreciate people who feel the need to gossip about you on your job. Remind her first, that it is unprofessional and childish. Tell her you can't allow people like this in your circle and until she gets some business of her own or a muzzle for her mouth, she needs to stay out of your space. Its going to piss her off but who cares, because she's not your friend anyway.

Sounds to me you should keep it the way it is now. If she only talks to you about your life with your ex, that is. Does she have any conversation about anything else? if not then why don't you steer it away from your love life, to another topic, maybe about your friend? Or ask her about her love life and see if shes prepared to discuss it.

Tell her to keep her mouth shut, cause it's ur business or is she jealous that you got with this guy and she wants him but can't have him so, she tries to embarrass you in front of him. ignore her and tell her to get a cucumber.

Sounds to me that there's nothing you can do about it. If you've told her about the things that upset and asked her not to do them, and she still insists on ignoring you, YOU DON'T NEED THAT KIND OF FRIENDSHIP!!! Cut your losses and move on! With "friends " like that, who needs enemies?
