The Big Bang is a scientific theory on how the universe was created. It maintains that the universe started from a single point and expanded (and continues to expand) outwards from this point.

It is the at the least the beginning of human awareness that the universe began. Officially it is a theory explaining why the universe is currently expanding. THe idea I subscribe to that follows patterns in nature is that it expands and contracts on a regular cucle.l
