they are the same. marshall is just a huge breeding facility that sell to most pet stores.it is not a type of ferret.

Marshells is a mass producer of ferrets who mailny sell there kits to pet stores. they breed the poor females constantly a normal ferret is one you get from a reputable breeder I have found if you call your local animal shelter and see if there is a ferret rescue in your town then call them and see if there are any breeders around. Marshells are known to carry adrenal cancer i lost two of theirs within a year of purchase the two I have now are from a breeder and they have had no problems so far they are now 5 years old. I will be buying more in a couple ofmonth from the same breeder.

I may be incorrect but i believe that almost all ferrets sold in petstores are from a huge ferret breeding facility called marshall ferrets.
