The window sill is secured with trim nails. Depending on how hungry he was and sever the damage was, replacing the sill is quite easy. You will 1st need to remove the casing or window trim that sits on the sill 1st. This can be done carefully as not to damage the trim. after you have removed the trim then you can remove the sill, check out www.ekbdc.com for more help. Good Luck!

What's to say he won't do it again? The simplest way to repair would be to, saw the remaining protruding part of the cill off, at this stage make a decision, if you leave it like this there's nothing there to be chewed!!! or, you can glue and screw a new piece of shaped timber back in it's place. There is another alternative, but I expect your dog is loved and a cherished member of the family?

Take off the old trim and take it to your local hardware store to match it to what you have and see if they will cut it for you and then paint if needed and then nail back. Then you may want to buy the dog some denta- bones, they seem to love those bones.
