If one's on medication and has to take medication every 8hours and let's say the person takes the pills at 11am, then, after its effect is over, ie round about 22.30, would this person be able to consume alcohol?

alcohol thins the blood and so taken in concert with other blood thinning medications such as asprin is considered dangerous. consult with your doctor! in the above case, what you may well find is that you'll feel light headed earlier than normal and the alcohol will have a more drastic effect on you if you do drink.

I always tell people NEVER mix alcohol with any medications! Better to be safe than sorry. I had a friend of mine die because she took some pills then consumed very little alcohol. It didn't take much and she was dead! So I wouldn't risk it at all.

What does it say on the bottle of the medication?
If it says "Do not take with alcohol" it means just that, case closed.
If you decide to disregard said warnings you do so at your own risk, as the alcohol can negate the effects of the medication or amplify them---either of which can be dangerous.

I would never recommend alcohol before during or after medicine. The whole idea of medicine it to heal. Alcohol is counter productive for healing. I can't believe you actually asked that question.

Always check with your doctor or chemist as to wether you can take alcohol whilst on medication.

Yes you should be able too. Stll it pays to be careful. And if I were you I'd wait at least 1 hour or more before consuming the alcohol.

its very bad to consume alcohol while on medication. chemicals in alcohol will have great effects on the medicne.
