I wish they could play outside. but there's not really anywhere for them to go out there. We don't have a garden, and the council locked up the playpark. And they wonder why kids are turning into overweight pasty faced computer addicts.

2 out of 3 girls stay out day and night. if its raining or snowing they are still out there.Back in the seventies in this little town of 1200 I would leave in the morning and we could always eat lunch at someones house and by suppertime you needed to be checking in and have a friend with you to feed them some grub, then out till after dark. If you was out after9.30 then you got a (well lets just say you only did that once) Know one got kidnapped or molested, we ate and drank out of other FRIENDS bottle of pop, we didnt have bike helmets or elbow pads, we rode in cars with no seatbelt on, I was placed in the back glass of a 71 Impala for trips as far as 600 miles so we could squeeze more people into the car. And last time I checked im still around and doing fine. Get them outside every chance you can.

Not really, but that's because right now they're re-roofing our apartments and the place looks like a construction zone....if I didn't live in an apartment I'd be outside more myself. I grew up in a big house on about 10 acres, so I'm used to that kind of outside.....

i do pretty good getting my kids outside to play
i go for walks with them and i take the wagon, just in-case they get tired
i have a kid's picnic table on the porch for them to eat lunch
i limit t.v. and computer time
i have an outdoor pool, sandbox and play set for them, and lots of large toys like bikes and manual-cars
its the winter time that's the toughest, and this has been a very mild winter, with a lot of mud... and the mud has been an incentive for them to want to go outside ... that is the toughest on me, to consent to LET them play in the mud

My kids play outside whenever the weather is nice, we live in a compound, with our private play grounds and swimming pool, sometimes I have to pull them inside.

Mine do! I just wish they'd remember their hat and not wear their new clothes or bury their new shoes in the sand pit.
Oh well, so long as they are happy!
