in his last living act the Grand master of the Templar's cursed the King and the pope for their treachery. with in a few month's both the king and the pope were dead.

The reason it is considered an unlucky is that according to research adam and eve were ordered out of the Garden of Eden on a Friday, Christ was crucified on a Friday and the Great Flood, Noahs Arc started on a Friday. Christians also believed that there were twelve witches and one devil present at Satanic ceremonies so Friday and 13 make a very dangerous and unlucky combination

Its considered unlucky because on Friday the 13th of October in the year 1307 the King of France named Phillip the Fair sent out an order to have the order of the Knights Templar arrested and many of them were killed after being tortured or burned at the stake.

Some historians propose that the origin of the "Black Friday" was the simultaneous arrest of hundreds of Knights Templars on October 13, 1307 (Friday), to be later tortured into admitting heresy. This was done by the Vatican.

Actually, this myth is inspired by the death of the Great Knight Templar. He was executed on a Friday 13 because the king of France at that time wanted the Templar order's legendary fortune. It is also said that the Temples never really disappeared and they are the ancestors of the masons today

There are several stories about this. I don't think anyone knows for sure. One of them has to do with the fact that there were 13 people present at the Last Supper, I think.
