From the given formulae of sample variances which is biased estimator of a^2 and why?

S^2 = Sum ( x - x )^2 , s^2 = Sum ( x - x )^2
n-------------, ------------------- n - 1

I can't post the exact equation in a statistical manner but Please I need the whole equation to be solved step by step. Its urgent. Thanx.

(x - x)² = (0)² Since s² = sum (x - x)² Then s² = (0)²

just gotta say, this equation is random, i mean ( x - x ) that's 0 so wat's the point of puting that in?

Maybe that second x is really x-mean, sometimes denoted .
