If you are a girl, beware of joining. There is lot of gender bias. I have a friend there who says that all new girls are sexually exploited and they have to succumb to the wishes of the higher authorities.

4 u it may be short service or may be permanent commision ,cant tell u exactly but u can check their site www.careerairforce.nic.in or keep posting ur query in this ,who knows some IAF offier may help u ....... good luck
