I am quite negative. I really dont like it. It keeps me sort of unhappy. im not like that during holidays but as soon as college starts, i get all unnecessary negative thoughts and unnecessary tension. What can i do to be more positive?

I think you should keep a journal of positive thoughts. As the list grow try looking at them from time to time and see if that helps. Also, I don't know if this works it seems sort of silly but someone told my mom once to put a rubberband on her wrist and when she had a negative thought snap it. It seems a bit strange but maybe it is worth a try.??

You must realize and accept that you are responsible for your own feelings. You can choose to be positive.

Also, you could try and get involved in things that will help keep you positive e.g helping the less fortunate. This will not only make you feel good and positive that you helped someone, it will also remind you that there are others who are having a tougher life than you, so you can't complain. Heck, you'll also meet new people and possibly make new friends, which will build yourself esteem and help you become more postive.

You might want to try helping with stuff like meals-on-wheels, habitat for humanity etc.

Seems like you have low self esteem. You need to give your mind a rest of these thoughts and start thinking positively. There is an article on the site in the source box dealing with improving self esteem. It may interest you.

get more friends...go for outing..enjoy life..help others...give love and respect...get yourself involved in various activites....once u r busy u wont be getting time to think about all these worries ..enjoy..
