so this is what i know (im a guy) .. when you first start off taking the pill, you have to wait 10 days before u can engage in sex, and u take the pill the same time everyday... and when u get ur period, u continue to take pills but they are just so u get in the habit of taking them but they are infact sugar pills ? so my question is if my GF had her period, but its over before her "sugar pills" end, is it safe to have sex w/o a condom? can u still get pregnant if she doesnt miss any pills? because i read somewhere that the pill u take will affect it the NEXT week, so im confused, if these pills for the week of her period are just sugar pills, doesnt that mean you have to wait a week after period to have pills in affect? sorry might be a little confusing.. sorry, i tried searching this topic about PILLS after the period etc but it just showed up with a bunch of "day after pill" and my gf dsnt care or want to learn, but i ALWAYS do.. so please help me. =)

If it is the first month taking them I would use a condom until she starts the new pack. They are in fact placebo pills but you have stored protection from the prior three weeks. So after the first month, having unprotected sex during the placebo pill time is fine. I have been on the pill for six years myself and I have never had a problem, as a RN I have never seen a problem either. The first month is tricky just be careful until the full 2nd month is done. I hope this helps. Also another quick tip, if she wants to skip her period entirely just don't take the placebos and start a new pack. She will miss her period and its quite a convienence. Just don' t do this more than three months in a row, it can cause break through bleeding. I hope I helped! Good luck

First off, you should be using a condom whether your partner is on the pill or not. The pill is very effective against pregnancy, it does nothing to Prevent STD's, which can kill you! With that said...You're info is REALLY mixed up. There's no "Waiting" on the pill unless it is the first month, then you should be using a condom through the first cycle. "Sugar" pills are sometime iron supplements and sometimes other vitamins, etc depending on the pill and should be taken. Even if they are just sugar pills (and SOME are) they help keep you in the habit of taking the pill on time each day. Finally, the reason pregnancy is not a factor during the "other pill" week is that your Partner has not ovulated so she can't get pregnant. The off week allows her body to drop hormone levels and shed her uterine lining (her period). When you are on the pill your body thinks it is pregnant, so when you are off for the week your body thinks the pregnancy is over and starts to get back to normal. Hope this making some sense to you. It's a good idea to talk to your girl about how it works too, or her doctor, your doctor or your parents!

I wouldn't be taking the risk of doing it without a condom. The little pamphlet in the box says something along the lines of if you miss one then you should wait a week before doing the horizontal mambo again. As for during the sugar pills (yeap, they are only sugar, I just skip them rather than take something I don't need to) I'm not really sure. I've been reading in magazines lately that you can "only" get pregnant while you're ovulating BUT I wouldn't stake my life on what a magazine says.
To make this short and sweet - if you don't want the risk of her ending up pregnant with your baby at the moment, put on a condom. (and have fun!)

yes your confusing. but if she has taken the pill at the SAME time everyday having sex without a condom in the sugar pills time is fine. i asked this question too when i started the pill lol. i can't explain you why its ok as i have forgotten but its ok. but also remember there is still chances of her getting pregnant even on the pill taken everyday same time. if she has taken pills properly then everything is fine.
as she has just started the pills then i would wait for the first month as its a bit risky though they say its ok. she really should have just started straight off in the active pills not the sugar one even though it said to start in the sugar pills, but seen as youse want to have sex now without the condom then she should have started in the active ones. hold on for this month and once she gets her period you can have it without the condom as long as she has been takin it same time everday without missin one. that is the most important cos if she doesn't there is greater chance she will get pregnant.

Why are you struggling with Birth Control Pills? as these days every one have mobiles. Now you think that what is the connection of Mobile with Birth control? Yes it has, becaue if you visit www.getjar.com and download the java application "My Girls" and install in your mobile. You can get alerted of the dates, on which your girl could get pregnant. Avoid having sex on those days of her cycle (only 4 days per month) and be free to have pills or injections or using condoms.
It's true and very effective.Try once. If you need help, then IM me. You can have the record of as many girls as you have.

Not sugar pills. I cant take them myself because my system is too sensitive. I do IUD. You can maybe have her get the depo shot. Its cheaper in the longrun and alot more effective. Once every six months and no periods, woo, hoo,
