It sounds as though you've struggling a bit with your course work here, as you say 'another' referral. You really need to speak with either the tutor for the module/s concerned, or your personal tutor. Your tutor is there to help you, and they don't want to see you fail. The earlier you speak to them the better. It might be that you need some additional support to get you back on track. Find out what help is available in your university and make use of it.

If you are not coping with the work because of too much partying, then you need to remind yourself why you're doing a degree in the first place. It is not an easy task by any means, and it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and a few sacrifices along the way!

Most tutors/lecturers will bend over backwards to help a student who is genuinely struggling. And remember, it isn't about being embarassed really - it's about your future.

Good luck with it!

I feel the same as you do. I started an access course in September and me and most of my class keep getting refers on our assignments. It's really hard but the only ones that succeed are the ones that keep trying. Ask your classmates for help with filming. I bet theres others in your class who feel like they don't know what they are doing either. I know it's hard but it's character building and you will learn it eventually. Tell your tutor of your fears and they may reassure you or give you extra help. Good luck with it and just stick at it!

What your classmates think doesn't matter, except to the extent that it is constructive criticism. Talk to supervisor out of class first.

Go and face the music. You will come away better for it. It's like toothache; if you avoid it longer it will hurt more, but once the treatment is applied you feel like a spring lamb againn.
