If it was used long ago as a deragatory statement towards a race, then no one should use it. What gives African-Americans the right to use it and not let any other race? If you don't want to be called the same word by another race, then don't use it at all. When I hear it, I get annoyed, because if anyone could use it, then no one would use it, because it wouldn't be a big deal and would have probably have a different meaning in the first place.

Offensive word supposedly made cool to use, fake culture. I don't respect anyone who uses it or thinks it's a negative turned positive. Same with "pimp".

I don't think anyone should use it, of any racial background. I think it's just as derogatory if African Americans call each other that as it is if someone from another race called them that. I'm not sure why they don't think so.

It projects poor breeding if you use offensive words. Learned and decent people show respect to all people whatever race they maybe.
