Hi, I need serious advice. The problem is that I‘m 32 years old and I‘m self employed and I was studying law but got failed in exams. Now I dont have courage to tell my parents about it. They may kick me out of home, but i really dont want to study. I want to do my current job . I have done graduation 3 years ago. But my parents insist that i should study more. Please advise me what should I do. How can i gather my courage to tell them this.

I live in Pakistan and here you can't simply leave your parents and they depend on you and you too depend upon them. I am running a medical transcription company and I have done BA in political science and journalism.

We have a joint family system here. I tried once to tell them but then my dad threatened that he would take from me my business as he had initially financed it. But I have returned that money and a lot more in these past couple of years. And now the company is in my name. But still i'm afraid to hurt them.

I have to agree. If you are 32 it is time for you to step up and take responsibility for your own actions. If you don't want to study that's your business - but every action has consequences and without studying to pass your exams, you are writing your own destiny. You need to honestly look at what you want to do and then make a commitment to stick with whatever is required for that no matter what the cost. It's time to face the music and be an adult. The longer you wait to deal with this the harder it will become. Good Luck!

you are 32 years old you should be able to sit down and tell you parent what your hopes & dreams are, you can not live there life they want for you believe me I know I been there & have a dughter, she can tell dad & I anything, we say we want what is best 4 our kids (some Adults) ( I still call on my Mom I'm 45) But they should understand from the past we all have to make our own mistakes or noy mistakes.. go for you dreams if you are gunna be put out or wrote out of the will or what have you, not worth waitting on life is too short be happy do what you want if they payed for college affor to help pay back..Good Luck

You are 32 and self employed, and have no courage to talk as a grown up to your parents ... What is your current job? If you work something that enables you to support yourself, go for your dream. If not, grab the book and get qualified.

uhm sorry to be so critical but why in the world is a 32 year old still living at home with his parents?? get out get a job and live in your own house under your own rules.
as far as your educational situation, i think that you are old enough to know what you have to do about this one. be an adult and fess up.

Well at 32 years old you should have your own place move out and get your own home.You are kind of old to be living with mom and dad aren't you.So just get a place and tell them you failed that way you won't have to worry about them kicking you out.

you are 32 self employed and if this is what you want to do then do it no one can make you happy but you and if they do tell you to leave then go they should just be thankful that you are employed and are making something for your self just tell them you will feel better and if they really care they will understand good luck
