Well for the most part everyone is right, except for in some cases there could be some serious damage. Give the arm twenty four hours to heal, if it does not see a doctor. Something similar happened to my friend and her arm was numb for quite some time. She is the type that never has anything wrong with her and hates needing help, but because her hand was numb sometimes she did need help so we helped. It did eventually heal but the doctor did think that it was going to require some help. So just keep and eye on it, and if the numbness continues then you need to see a doctor.

Your ulnar nerve runs in a groove on the end of your ulna, that's the big Bone in your forearm. If you bang your elbow the right way the nerve could get displaced and not conduct impulses as fast as it should. This can take months to resolve. You could wear an elbow brace, an elastic one that keeps you from bending your arm too much. Wear it for most of the day and wear it to bed. Avoid resting your elbow on hard surfaces and try to put up with the numbness and tingling. If it is really annoying, you should see a neurologist for EMG (electromyelogram) testing to assess the severity of the injury. Really severe cases need to be surgically fixed but take forever to heal.

brachial nerve? no such thing. you hit your funny bone, a part of your humerus (get it) called the olecranon. your ulnar nerve runs right through it and it is responsible for the feeling in the pinky and ring finger as well as the rest of the skin on that side of your hand. it will pass, if it doesn't i'd see a doctor

No, you most likely hit the brachial nerve that runs by the elbow.
You'll be fine.

you hit your funny bone. your funny bone is rattling your nerves in your whole arm, so therefore and thus, it hurts.
