I know its a really weird question but I'm trying to write an essay on this and I am finding it really hard to get info anywhere!! O am not even sure if this kind of question is allowed on here so sorry if its not....Oh - I especially need to know about people in this age bracket who live in the Midlands (tho anywhere is cool!) So just a rough Pro Rata and whereabouts u live would be brilliant - eg, 25yrs, £15,000, East Midlands... Cheers!!!

Doesnt matter about the nature of the job - i just need to know the average full time yearly wage of that age group! And the area would be very useful so that i am able to differentiate between areas of the country. Thanks again in advance!

It depends if they are a graduate and in what area of work they are in,
if they are in management it can be a plus from 20'000, but a warehouse operative could be on £6 hour.
If you are doing a hypothetical essay you might want to specify the career. I have given you the yahoo jobs website which had loads of jobs and their starting salaries. But all of the careers websites will have the same.

This all depends on where you live in the UK
Ave Wage in London is about 10.00 Hour
South West Where i live its about 6.00 Hour
It also depends on the Company you work for ! Allot of Company will try to pay you Min Wage 5.53 or something like that ,
If you go for any Starting Job in Retail you will start on around 6.00 and no more , If you have a Degree you can get Jobs that pay well over 20.000 A Year .
I live in South West and id say Ave is about 13k - 17k For someone who's 24-30 But all depends on what department you in at your Job ,
Ill give you break down of the company i work for and that Rates :
Basic 5.75
Basic + 6.15
Team Leader Grade 2 7.15
Supervise Grade 3 12.00
Manager Grade 4 15.00 20.00 Hour
This all goes up to Grade 8
I know a guy that's 23 and hes on Grade 6 so he must take home over 20k . Depends how much u want a job and work for it .

In the US( Northeast), I'd say 40K w/ a four year degree, maybe 20-25K w/ out one.
I would put the Avg. at about 28-30 thousand. GL

I don't know about the U.K. In The U.S. middle class (working stiff, factory, low end office,service) it would be safe to say between $20,000 and $30,000 uneducated. Educated and fresh out of school starting at $40k to $60k. I know it is not UK but hope you find it interesting.
