This book is actually #2, however, Mao Tse-tung, has sold the most books. The bible is #1 but it has several different versions, Etc....

Quotations from the Works of Mao Tse-tung
Author: Mao Tse-tung
Copies sold: 800,000,000
Formerly known as The Red Book, these are quotations from the Chairman himself, and the foundation of today's Communist society in China. We say, read and enjoy, but do not let yourself be lulled into a love of Communism. The danger that lurks there is far worse than even secular humanism. Joe McCarthy knew that.

What do mean sold the most books as a whole, or the most stories i.e. with separate titles? If you mean the latter, I'd say Terry Pratchet, Stephen King, Danielle Steels and Roald Dahl. I'm not that big on authors and their works, however, I chose these authors at a wild guess because of thier popularity. Such as Roald Dahl, I read many books by him as I was growing up. As for Danielle Steels, my mum has a big collection of all her books that were made into films. Terry Pratchet - I have a book here by him and on the inside cover is listed his woks, and there are about 30. And as for Stephen King, I said him because someone else did! :P

The two most printed books of all time are The Bible, and #2 is The Pilgram's Progress, which hasn't been out of print for three hundred years or so, and has been translated into every known modern written language.
