You will still be eligible for Child Tax Credit but the amount you receive may be effected due to the level of your income.
You will now be eligible for Working Tax Credit but your entitlement will again depend upon your income, try the on-line calculator under Tax Credits "Am I entitled" or call the helpline. The helpline will be able to give you a more accurate estimation and the figures they will give you will be weekly amounts whereas the Internet site will give you a yearly figure.

you go girl!! there are far too may people out there in your situation that would happily sit on their behinds all day. You will be entitled to tax credits and maybe still council tax discount and possibly even help with your rent. And you will still be able to get child benefit four your lil ones!!! dont sit on that thought- make some enquiries and good luck. Also how old are your kids as you may get help with childcare too.....you in yourself will feel better, its a known fact that working mums do...some you time. x

yes you will - also working family tax credit which is based against income, number of children and cost of any registered childcare (after school clubs, private nurseries and registered childminders) its a bit of a form and i found with having 3 kids it was easier to phone and ask than use the web application as its not that great when its not a straightforward claim. Its worth doing - also check out your local benefits office as they may be able to help you arrange a lot of this stuff and help you find childcare too.

Yes you get the child tax credit and what you get is based on how much you make. If you just started working this year you can file it next year.

To be honest as a single mum if you can juggle looking after 4 kids around a full time job you bloody well deserve tax credit whether you're entitled to it or not!
But the likelihood is that you will yes, does the kids father work? get the CSA to sort him out, make him pay up.

why? why is a single mom with 4 kids more deserving than a married person,or a single person that was carefull and didnt have kids? don't be so quick to give away other peoples money in tax rebates

you will get working tax credits as well as child credits and they will also help with childcare costs, when you phone them you will have to know what you will be earning and the hrs you will be doing...don't just guess as this might give you an over payment which you will have to pay back, even if you have to wait until your first payslip to work out your yearly income they will back date your claim.
