We already invaded China and Cuba once, no future in it homey. Besides, China is buying the U.S. one piece at a time, better brush up on your Cantonese.

This is not what is happening. If the "nuke" scenario happens it will not be America that starts it. If this is your primary fear you should really look into the facts as to the real world situation. If the US was going to play the "nuke" card it would have done so already. The Us has been attacked on its own ground already. Not to mention the incursion of Iran into Iraq with solders and shooting at collation forces there. That is a declaration of war but all the US did was chase them back over the border. America dose not "invade and take over" that was the former Soviet Union. Cuba has been sitting there quiet 90 miles off the shore of the US and nothing has happened. As a matter of fact Cuban citizens risk their lives to leave Cuba to come to America for a better life. Many make it, I personally know several, some unfortunately die in the voyage. The same thing happens in N Korea where they try to leave to get to So Korea for a better life. Venezuela, I had personal friends that were murdered by the liar and criminal that has taken over that county. They were a great economic friend of the US's till this dictator wrangled power. Iran is just that,Iran. In my research it seems that the only people that really just hate everyone that they don't think is Muslim enough is the political leadership and the Ayatullah's. China would like to rule the world just like the leadership in Iran, but they have developed too strong a financial relationship with the rest of the world to turn that pot over. Do you see a connection between these places. All are ruled by despot, tyrannical leaders. It is they that have no regard for human life and the respect of others. Until these people love their own children more than they hate the world will not have peace.
Do your self a favor and do some research into what the leader of Iran says he is here on this planet for. Just a teaser he believes that his purpose here is to usher in the 12th imam. To do this he has to murder 2/3's of the worlds population. If he gets a full "nuke" he will start doing this. Please do a little research. Get educated on this subject before you go looking for a bad guy.
So to answer your question, nuking them is not an open option. Removing those that seek harm to the US is. Also I don't consider tactical nukes as the proverbial "nuke". Finally the US has liberated and set up more independent, self governing countries after they have fallen then any other power in the history of Earth. If world rule was the US's game it would have been done already.

Never. The US army isn't big enough to control Iraq and Afghanistan, and large areas of those countries are pretty uninhabited. They wouldn't have a hope of taking on even a small country now - let alone large ones like Iran, or the most populous country in the world - China.

Well that's a funny way of thinking, but if we did as you asked, we would only destroy selected buildings and sites in those places and our goal would be to kill no one in the next war, yet still expect to win. Plus we NEED China everthing we use is made there!
