If the question was asked as whether Hollywood representations of females is far more stereotyped than world cinema, the answer is absolutely.
World cinema tends to be aesthetically based rather than formulaic and profit-driven like many Hollywood 'block-busters'.
Hollywood is also far more simplistic in its representations of good vs evil, good qualities vs undesirable basically the bulk of Hollywood films are condescendingly simplistic in their nuances, especially of character and plot development.

Compared to European cinema, and world Art-Film, their is far greater nuance, less reliance on special-effects, less reliance on name-brand actors as a commodity (Bollywood excluded of course) and far more reliant on character and plot development, mirroring the rich culture & storytelling traditions of these far older and wiser cultures these art-films films are a part of.

There has been some absolutely brilliant world-cinema, but unfortunately due to financial and language issues (and perhaps vested Hollywood business interests) remain unknown to a great many of the cinema-loving public.
Some I can think of that I've viewed are the Apu Trilogy (Nobel prize winning screen-writer/director) and Ncut Nya Dien (an Indonesian film).
Early Hollywood was reasonable- but never up to par with its European rivals.
