Can't remember a timber/logging/float barge tv series from 70s/80s with possibly a seaplane in the intro...?

Does anyone remember this? We think it's American, maybe Canadian? We're not sure - and there's a group of us sitting here crying!!!

Beachcombers..Canadian show...watched it all the time.

The Beachcombers. it wasn't very 'shiny happy ' TV though . As a Child I thought it was grim !! I think it was Canadian rather than American.

oh now you have me pulling my hair out by the roots i know that but its on the end of my tongue was there a guy in the program named relic if so it was canadian
