i have to set up every time i want to go on line.got a bt homehub and its doing my head in!

When the laptop is turned off it also turns off the wireless.

If you mean it doesn't automatically connect when you turn it on you will have to set it to which network you want to conect to prefferentially. This may be because there is another wireless network it is trying to connect to.

If windows controls your network connection go in to network connections, right click on the wireless connection and choose properties, there should be an option to select which network to connect to prefferentially. If your card uses its own software open this usually by clicking the icon at the bottom and you should be able to do the same. Also look for anything tat says connect automatically

you may have a problem with your connection cos on mine i have to turn the connection on before i log on to my laptop. ring bt and get an answer from them and if there is a problem with it get a engineer out to have a look at it. maybe switch to ntl as bt is a bit faulty

when u switch the computer off the connection will log-off,
it's supposed 2.
re-connecting when u switch on is usual.

why would it keep the connection if ur computer is switched off?

yes I think your wireless connection goes off when you turn off your laptop !

Mine does that sometimes,,,, i just take my card out for a few seconds and then put it back in and it usually finds itself and works again..
