Probably Joey or one of the other cast members from Friends. They hardly ever had to work, and if they did it would only be for 4 or 5 minutes. I would always be surrounded by beautiful women (Not only random beautiful women but JENNIFER ANISTON).

Hmmm I have so so so so so many favorites... catherine tramell but too complicated.. ripley.. but too hard an end..
Id say Aeon Flux (from the Anime) ... I love thought and philosophy and her life is surrounded by it... I like her choice for love, and her abilities and training... I love that she is in such a wonderfully changing world.. and that she has the ins and outs because of her relationship with Trevor.. she is untouchable because she is female and knows what she can do with her mind, her physical body, her psychology, and all her assets. I love that character.. and I think that this character would do the most good in this world and in her own. We should all be so aware of who we are and what we can do... we should all be a work in progress, an open mind, a state of flux, and a person of passion and love... We should all be so... human.
always

Well...
Ok, first, let me get this out of the way...
< 3 minutes of maniacal laughter>
... Thanks, now onto answering your question...after a bit of clarification: do you mean live their life exactly as they do (i.e. having no control over the situations they get into, just being able to experience their lives firsthand, just "along for the ride" so to speak) or simply me being them (having their skills, inborn abilities, knowledge, possessions, etc), but being able to control and alter the situations they face?
I must say, while both interpretations of your questions have their own appeal, each has their own downsides as well, so I'll try to answer your question on a case by case basis, telling whether I'd rather be "along for the ride" {passenger} or in control of the character {driver}...
1) John McClane [1] (from "Die Hard" series) {passenger} Fun to experience, but I don't think I could do that...
2) Buffy Summers [2] or Willow Rosenberg [3](from "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer") {driver} 'Cause how cool to be superhuman...and get to kill vampires...wouldn't suck......and as for Willow, 3 words:
REDHEAD.
LESBIAN.
WITCH.
'Nuff Said!
3) The Doctor [4], (From "Doctor Who") {both} Are you kidding me?!? Immortal TIME TRAVELING being? Plus, that sonic screwdriver...think of the possibilities... (now you understand the maniacal laughter earlier...) Not to mention, have you seen his "Companions"? Hubba!- no matter what your flavor...
4) Paul Atreides [5] (from the "Dune" series of books...) {passenger} Gee, able to see the future, ruling a galactic empire? 'Nuff said...
5) Britney Spears [6] (yes, a real person, but doesn't she act like a character from a movie...a really bad movie?) {driver} How could I do a worse job?
6) Michael Knight [7] (from "Knight Rider") {passenger} Just because he always got to work with KITT...and get the girl...
7) Dave Lister [8] (from "Red Dwarf") {passenger} Just be-"smeg-ing"-cause!
8) "Q" [9] (from either the "James Bond" series or "Star Trek") {driver} From "Bond" because he gets to play with all the cool gadgets BEFORE Bond breaks them...and the one from "Star Trek" because he gets to play with all the cool people...and make their lives a living heck!
9) God [10] (yes, THAT God...) {driver} Since many consider him a fictional character...and as for why - you have to ask?!? Gimmie those keys, baby! Vrooom, Vrooom, let's see what this Universe can do...!
...And I could go on and on, but these are the highlights...
Hope this helps!
