how come I can not sleep. I'm just never tired, or if I do fall asleep, it is only for an hour to two per day. My husband doesn't sleep either, we both just stay up all night and all day. what's up with that?

the same thing happened to me and my doctor said that it's common with some women- he said it was kind of like natures way of preparing the body for the hours of a new baby... and it worked for me. When my baby came i hardly ever felt tired!

First of all, it is probably difficult for you to get comfortable with your belly always in the way. Try a body pillow; the Snoogle body pillow is highly recommended for pregnant women. Not sure about your husband, but you may be having some "nesting" instincts. These will keep you up at night even if you aren't madly cleaning the house. Ask your doctor, but a small amount of Benadryl is safe during pregnancy and can cause you to feel a little drowsy, sometimes this is just what you need to fall asleep. I'm 20 weeks along and I go to bed at 3 or 4 in the afternoon and then wake up in the middle of the night to start my day, so I guess pregnancy just does weird things to some woman's sleep patterns! Good luck to you.

It sounds like you are both excited ! ! ! You should be, you'll have a new arrival soon.
But however, I recommend that you do sleep, because soon you'll have enough sleepless nights. Try relaxation techniques, warm milk etc etc. GOOD LUCK
