hi, i done a pregnancy test 3 days ago which came up positive i didnt believe it so i done another test which also came up positive now this is where i start to sound stupid, i cannot believe i am pregnant i am shocked, but i am scared to believe that i am actually pregnant incase i find out that the tests were wrong and i am not. how can i convince myself that i am actually pregnant

You are definitly not alone in that. When I first found out I was pregnant I had to have my me and then my hubby pinch myself to make sure it was real. JK......it was much different. In fact, I took one test. I didn't even think anything of it because I thought it would come out negative. We had been trying for all of our 4 years of marriage and even before that (for a total of 6 years). There were two lines as plain as day. I glanced down, ran to my hubby and strangled him (as he would so exaggerate). He ran in there and I told him to make sure I wasn't seeing things. He saw the two lines and looked at me like "what does that mean". The excitement didn't last long because then came the thought...maybe I we wanted it so bad that we were both seeing things. So, I asked him to buy me another test to be sure. The next day he brought another test home (this time containing two). I took them both the same day. Again they both came out positive. Then in the back of my mind the thought of what if I am having a chemical pregnancy. So I went to the doctors and they gave me a urine test....it was positive again. It wasn't until my first ultrasound when I saw the heartbeat of my little peanut that I realized that this child was in me and it wasn't anything but what it was.

Pregnancy tests never produce a positive result unless you are pregnant, so you are definately pregnant!! I think that everyone feels the same as you when they first find out, but when you hear the babys heartbeat for the first time, then you realise that you have actually got a baby inside you!! Go to the doctors and ask for a teas if you want to, s/he will give you the number for the midwives, and before you know it, you will be listening to the heartbeat. THEN it will sink in!! good luck!!

Congradulations:) I have four children and by the time I got pregnant with my third child I couldn't believe it either. I waited until I was almost three months before going to the doctor I already knew what they were going to tell me so I just started taking my vitamins and doing all the healthy stuff you do when you are pregnant. Good luk to you and just so you know after your second kid I don't think that things get any harder just more expensive. Have a healthy pregnancy!

Go to your doctor and get a blood test, a blood test will detect a pregnancy sooner than a home pregnancy test. Then you'll be sure, or you can wait 9 months, you'll know you're pregnant when those labor pains hit!

I dont think you are being silly. Some people take getting pregnant for granted, others cant believe their luck....I think you can rest assured that you are pregnant!! Its not unusual to get a false negative but two positives are unlikely to be wrong. I think when you really want something badly its hard to believe its actually happened. I should think your pregnant honey, with two tests saying the same thing. The best thing to do is get yourself into the doctors.
You could possibly go to the hospital also the scan department and explain you circumstances maybe they will give you a scan. Hope this helps, I have four children and didnt belive it either.

I found out from my GP that you can never get a false positive only a false negative on pregnancy tests. If the hormone is in your urine you are definitely pregnant - congratulations x

Yes yr pregnant, my mate asked me to help her with home pregnancy test, after two tries, both came positive, so she went to docs last week, and is pregnant! her last periods was mid dec like yourself!

It is possible to have an incorrect negative result but not an incorrect positive result. You are pregnant and I would suggest you visit your GP.
