Aside from ballet. Does hip hop make them bigger? My legs got bigger but my thighs got thinner because of hiphop. I need to know other cardiovascular exercises that burns a lot of calories, and make legs and calves slimmer, not bigger.

how about jogging and watching your diet. you cant lose fat just from your legs or your arms, you lose fat from all of your body. if your legs are getting thicker you should lose some fat, there is no way they can get thick enough to bother you if its muscle. it has nothing to do with hip-hop or belly dancing, eat less, exercise(burn calories, dancing is a good way too...) and you are all set.

I'm a dancer that used to be a runner too and my calves and thighs got huge. I couldn't get my pants over my legs. Now that I have just been walking my pants are loose in those areas. I think any sort of dance will thicken your legs. But, the key thing is to stretch A LOT. Try stretching morning, evening and before and after you dance or do any sort of exercise.

Any sort of dancing that is energetic is good for not only your legs and bum but also the rest of your body. Including your back.

But to see improvements you have to keep at it continuously. Minimum is at least half an hour a day, three times a week.

Have fun.
