You really don't need to buy anything to give yourself a nice facial. Here's one of my favorite home treatments:
First, wash your face with warm water and a mild soap.
Put on some soothing music.
Then, get a clean wash cloth and run it under the hot water tap until nice and warm. Squeeze out all excess water.
Find a comfortable spot and lay on your back, place the warm washcloth on your face so that it covers your entire face.
Stay like that for about 5 minutes.
Afterward, gently blot your face dry with a clean towel.
That helps to cleanse and open the pores. It's also very relaxing and can be a great stress-buster at the end of a long day.
Here's another facial you can do at home:

Make a pot of chamomile tea and use it for evaporator (bend over the steam, insure it is not too hot). After 10-15 minutes use clean cotton pads to gently clean your pores (do not squeeze vigorously). Wipe off with cleansing tonic and apply nourishing cream in light circular upwards movements. Apply dabbing special cream for eye area. Relax and allow your skin to relax too (close your eyes, listen to relaxing music...) Wipe off gently any excess of nourishing cream by a clean cloth or soft tissue.

I would agree with mother. I recently took a wash cloth and ran it under very warm water and just wiped my face down with that. And I did it a couple of times. My face felt so cleansed and my skin looked really good too.
