The chemical composition of cell membranes....a phospholipid bilayer are these

The nonpolar tails are composed of CH2's and it ends with CH3

The part joining hte head to the tail is somewhat hard to explain...but ill try it...Starting with the part closest to the polar head

CH2-CH-O-C-CH2-.....-CH3

Replace the .... with 15 CH2 molecules one attached to the other....its now letting me write it that way for some reason

The polar head is hard to explain....but its a phosphate group....

ill try again...but its not gonna be to clear Teh part at teh end is conected to the CH2 of the tail...the begining.

NCH2CH2O is surrounded by 3 molecules of CH3 and one molecule of P.

P Is surrounded by Three Oxygens atoms (O) and one NCH2CH2O

And one of the O is attached to the P and one to the tail bit of the bilayer...which is CH2

Tahts about it

I believe it is a phospholipid bi-layer. The part that likes water is on the outside. While the part that dislikes water is on the inside.
