What kind of counselor do you want to be?

Whatever your answer to that, it will require higher education beyond just a Bachelor's degree. There are different certifications required for different types of counseling in different places.

Philosophy is great, and I am sure it can be done with that kind of degree, but psychology or sociology is probably better.

If you want to be a school counselor, one of my friends was trying to do that, and she was told by counselors at her old high school and by advisors at her University that she would likely have to have been a teacher first, so as to gain experience and prove competence with students.

You're probably asking on here because you don't want to do this, but I'd reccomend asking your advisor at school.

a level isn't a call for in growing a specialist athlete. Of athletes that do have college levels, the certain section in which that degree changed into carried out varies. Many athletes, Eric Gordon for example, attending college, yet left earlier acquiring a level. Others, like LeBron James, not in any respect went to varsity contained in the first position.

You need a degree in psychology. Philosophy, while interesting, is not the preparation in becoming a counselor.

Yes, but I think you need a counseling certificate too. Thanks for your desire to be a counselor! Good luck.
