informal trafffic discovery California?

Question

i submitted an informal discovery to the prosecution and a copy was also sent to the witness via certified mail but the request was sent a month ago and i havnt recieved any information and i am getting ready to turn in my trial by decloration for the ticket. My question is what California penal code are they in direct violationof since they did not produce what i asked for in my discovery request? thanks

Not sure if there's a specific code section applicable, after all, it's "informal" discovery. You might check the discovery section of the California Code of Civil Procedure section. I think it's around sections 2000-2200. But...just the fact that it's called "informal" discovery tends to indicate that there's no penalty for failing to disclose the information.

You should try calling a traffic ticket attorney for information. They're usually pretty helpful over the phone.

document a action for discovery. based on the day which you recieve the invention the courtroom could enable you greater time to prepare. then based on the concepts you get including your discovery you may ask for a action to push aside. Youll could be arraigned and plea first then on the pretrial you may make the action to push aside.
